Petrolia is a small community in the area of California often called the “Lost Coast.” Hard to believe there is any area in California that is “Lost”, especially along the coast. You will need to consult your nav app to find this area, there are only two lane winding roads in, but it is worth the visit if you like solitude, small towns, and empty beaches.

All the Catholic churches built in this area are in the Gothic Style. Somehow appropriate for the “Lost Coast.”
